Gonna do it this winter, oh yessiree....

I've been painting for some years now, a few years ago selling over 300 paintings on Ebay (feebay). The past couple of years I have only done a few here and there. All the paintings I have on this blog are one's I've done unless I say otherwise. The past year I have been collecting beads and buttons, chain, and supplies to make jewelry. Gonna get back in the game and see about selling some items on Etsy. Ebay was changing policy so much and raising fees all the time. There was also an overabundance of foreign paintings selling for .01 then super high shipping fees. It was sweatshop produced and a lot was copied from artists that were there selling their own artwork. I had to walk away for awhile.
I am ready to do a few things a week so I have a good selection when I open this winter.
Here are two pair of earrings I have made this week, they are going to two friends I have made over at Plantswap but wanted you to get an idea of what I will have in my shop jewelry wise.

  1. I think that's a smart move on your part. From my experience, handmade jewelry doesn't sell very well on eBay, but I love etsy. It's just a better community in my opinion. I love the earrings you made! The second ones remind me of a plant pod of some sort, did you do that on purpose for the plant swap?

  2. Yes Holly I did. The picture is too dark (I need to set up a good place to take jewelry photos) but the milky green of the stone reminded me of a pod. I like to fit the piece to the person and the person getting those is a tropical plant lover.
The other pair are bright and happy. A sunny yellow. The person getting those is a happy thoughtful person who is always cheering people up. She is the first one to post birthday threads and sends packages to everyone.
So I thought they were fitting.
    Thank you for your comment.
